MBDA FAFTA is used for flexible and efficient transformation and diagnostics of antenna fields. The Fast Antenna Field Transformation Algorithm calculates the corresponding antenna radiation source and current densities on the antenna surface from far-field measurement data.
FAFTA is an advanced multi-frequency post-processing tool for antenna analysis and diagnostics. FAFTA provides a complete and detailed 3D representation of the antenna's radiation characteristics.
MBDA FAFTA AT A GLANCE
- Antenna field transformation in free space
- Antenna field transformation above ground, half-space (ideally conducting, dielectric, lossy dielectric)
- near field/far field, far field/near field transformation
- Near fields at arbitrary observation locations
- Diagnostic information for advanced fault/feature detection
- echo cancellation through spatial filtering
- simple built-in geometry display
- support of arbitrary geometries by mesh import
FAFTA SUPPORTS
- near-field and far-field measurements with arbitrary regular and irregular sampling grids
- different source representations (surface current densities, direct Huygens radiators)
- different data formats for input and output
